1948 NFL Quarterfinal-Los Angeles Rams-9, Chicago Cardinals-7

The Rams drove 78 yards in the final 1:34 of the game, scoring on the final play of the game from 4 yards out to advance to the NFL Semifinals, 9-7. Los Angeles had controlled the game throughout but missed several good scoring chances and trailed 7-3 with just under two minutes to play. Rams QB Bob Waterfield completed key passes to Frank Hubbell and Red Hickey before hitting Don Currivan on the final play of the game to get the victory.

Los Angeles RB Dick Hoerner ran for 118 yards in the victory. The Cardinals had the best ground game in the NFL during the regular season, but could only manage 65 yards against the Rams.
