Scudero had 2 INT for Washington |
Weather-38 degrees, calm, light rain
Rain and cold turned the Griffith Stadium turf into a primordial ooze, and the Giants defense slammed the door on the Redskins attack, 15-0. Washington could only manage 157 yards offense, with just 46 of those yards coming after halftime. New York's ground attack was effective on third down, which allowed the offense to stay on the field and eventually tire the Redskins defense.
Washington QB Eddie LeBaron completed only 7 of 23 throws and was intercepted twice, the 2nd of which set up the only touchdown of the game, a 14-yard run by New York RB Bobby Epps.
