The Lions offense got it together after 45 minutes of struggling, putting three scoring drives together in the fourth quarter and overtime to come from behind and advance to the NFL Championship Game, 16-10. Detroit churned out 235 yards on the ground, led by 127 yards on 15 carries from Gene Gedman. Leon Hart ran for two touchdowns, including the game-winner in OT.
The Giants couldn't sustain any offense in the second half, finishing with just 60 yards and zero points after halftime.
