1947 NFL Quarterfinal-New York Yankees-31, Buffalo Bills-28

In frigid Yankee Stadium, Buddy Young ran past the Buffalo Bills for 211 yards and 2 TD, leading the Yankees to an exciting 31-28 victory and a spot in the NFL Semifinals. New York's ground attack kept Buffalo's defense on the field all afternoon long, finishing with 388 yards on 46 carries. Buffalo managed to hold a 24-20 lead entering the fourth quarter by hitting big plays in the passing game. Bills QB George Ratterman would finish with 200 yards passing.

New York was able to score touchdowns on back-to-back possessions beginning the fourth quarter to take control of the game, 31-20. Buddy Young took the ball straight up the middle for the 50-yard TD that gave the Yankees the lead.

The Yankees will host one of the NFL Semifinal games played next weekend.
