1949 NFL Semifinal-Chicago Cardinals-20, Philadelphia Eagles-14

The Chicago Cardinals jumped out to a 17-0 halftime lead, then held on for a 20-14 victory and a spot in the NFL Championship Game. Paul Christman threw two second quarter TD passes to help the Cards take control. Each TD pass was the result of an interception from Philadelphia QB Tommy Thompson.

Philadelphia scored a fourth quarter TD to cut the lead to 6, but never got the ball back. Chicago will travel to either Los Angeles or San Francisco for the NFL Championship next Sunday.
